Technologies

This page includes descriptions of the
equipment and technologies we use to construct our inground pools and spas.
Selections have been made on past experience in reliability and functionality.
Any of this equipment may be retrofitted to an existing pool so give us a call
if you see something you are interested in discussing. Links to the
manufacturers' websites are provided so you can learn from them about the
products we use. Please use these links to find warranty information,
product specifications, operator's manuals and pictures for the listed products.
Home Automation Interface
Does your home have an automated
control system? We can interface with most brands with our Home
Automation Interface. This gives you control of your pool
functions through the same keypad and user interface as the rest of the
automation functions.
TriStar Pumps
We install Hayward
TriStar pumps in every new pool we build. They also make great replacement
pumps. They are energy efficient, quiet, and powerful.

Badu Jets
Sometimes called swim jets,
current pools and swim-in-place pools, we can make a small pool into a
place to swim until you turn off the switch! Pool shapes with one
flat wall and about 20 feet of space back from that wall can be fitted
with the Swim Jet Package from Badu. This is the ultimate in
Swim-in-Place technology and can turn any pool into an lap pool!
Water is pumped into the pool through recessed nozzles mounted under
water. These nozzles can create currents in excess of 5,000
gallons per minute!

Star Clear Plus Cartridge
Filters
Cartridge
filtration has been available for a long time, but has only recently begun to
enjoy rapid growth and acceptance. Hayward's cartridge filters keep your
water clean by filtering out particles as small as 10 microns. This is
half the size of particles a sand filter can trap. Cartridges are reusable
but easy to replace when necessary.

Electronic Controls
Electronic controls add many
desirable features to your pool equipment operation. For instance,
we install a remote keypad inside your home. This gives you
temperature readouts for water and air, on/off buttons for the pump,
lights, waterfall or other electrical devices. You can also adjust
the amount of chlorine that is being generated by the salt chlorine
unit, program the pump to run at convenient hours and turn the
temperature of the water up and down. All this from a location
inside your house that you specify.
Electronic Controls - Goldline
Salt Chlorine Generators
We install this product on every
pool we build. We can also install these on your existing pool.
Customers have told us that they cannot believe how easy water care is
when going from a chlorine tablet feeder to a salt generator.
Check out the link below for the details. Goldline Controls is one
of the best manufacturers of this type of system.
Automated Chlorination
Ozone Sanitizing Systems
Ozone systems are mainly used on
spas to reduce the amount of chlorine needed to sanitize the water.
However, Ultra Pure makes units with capacities large enough to handle
pools as well. Ozone is turbo injected through the suction side of
the pool pump and ‘automatically’ removes or alters bather waste as
water circulates. This continuous, preventative non-chlorine shock
treatment lowers Chlorine demand and virtually eliminates expensive
specialty chemicals, scum lines, and periodic shock treatments. This
oxidation treatment results in longer filter runs while producing
polished, crystal-clear water. We can install ozone systems in any
pool or spa to reduce chlorine usage. In combination with our salt
chlorine generator, you can be assured of the highest quality
water possible.
Ozone Oxidizing Systems
We include a pool cleaner with
every pool!
We are now including the Water
Technologies Pool Buster with every pool. It is a battery powered
unit that attaches to the same pole as your wall brush. Our
customers have told us that this is the easiest way to keep debris out
of their pool.

Fiber Optic Lighting
Fiber optic lights offer several
advantages over underwater light bulbs. First of all, it is not a
good idea to put electrical equipment under water. If the bulb
burns out, the only way to make the repair is to drain the water out of
the pool. Furthermore, the light niche is prone to leakage, which
in turn causes bulbs to burn out. A better approach is to use a
light box that is placed above the water line. The unit we use is
made by Fiberstars and uses a metal-halide bulb with a life expectancy
of about 4000 hours. When is is time to change the bulb, two
screws are removed from the box, allowing access to all electrical
components. From the box, a fiber optic cable is used to transmit
the light under the pool deck to the inside wall of the pool.
There, the light is sent through a lens that spreads out the light beam
to make the whole pool shine. The box we use includes a color
wheel that turns to change the color of light transmitted to the pool.
We also offer fiber systems that light the edge of the pool, waterfalls,
or laminars.

Heat Pump Heaters
We recommend heat pump heaters
from AquaCal. These units offer 2" plumbing that does not restrict
the flow of water through the recirculation system. They also
deliver the most BTU's for the amount of energy used. Since energy
efficiency is one of our design criteria, heat pumps are the obvious
choice.

Valves and
Plumbing
The plumbing parts, wall
fittings, jets and even glue we use in our pools and spas is of the
highest quality available in the market. Three-way valves, spa
jets and some other key components are made by Waterway Plastics.
Miscellaneous pipe and plumbing parts are purchased from other top
suppliers and manufacturers.
